Wednesdays this Summer just got a whole lot more fun with the return of Pickin’ In The Pines at Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre. Shows will take place on Wednesday evenings in August and September and feature local and regional talent from 5:30pm – 8:30pm.
All seating and music will take place on the spacious Crescent Deck creating a casual and comfortable environment to enjoy a mid-week outing with friends.
General Admission tickets are just $5. Buy all five concerts for $20. Children 12 and under are free.
Venue owned parking lots offer free parking and are filled on a first come first serve basis.
Gates open at 5:30pm, Music runs 5:45pm - 8:30pm

Order your Picnic from Taziki's Mediterranean Café ahead of time and have your picnic brought to you! All orders can be picked up at the concessions window when you arrive.
Diamond Creek is a six-piece bluegrass band from central North Carolina. Their music is traditionally rooted yet distinctly contemporary, with a freshness and energy that translates to their songs, arrangements and performances. The band's modern interpretation of golden era bluegrass favorites blends well with their own original compositions and the vibrancy you hear in Diamond Creek's music comes from musicians who really enjoy the music they are playing.
A lot of this spirit and energy is created from the vocals of twenty-two-year-old Emily Kirsch. Singing with confidence and conviction well beyond her years - she makes any song her own with her powerful delivery. Self-professed “journeyman” guitarist Spencer Mobley has worked with and filled in with bands on mandolin and guitar at a local and regional level for several years. Banjo stylist Julie Elkins has decades of performing and recording experience. Completing the band is husband and wife Russell and Kandis Johnson. Russell is an old hand at the music having played mandolin the last twenty-six years, first with New Vintage and then a twenty-year stint with North Carolina's Grass Cats. His wife Kandis started on the upright bass in 2001 and has played and filled in with bands for several years.
Diamond Creek has been around since 2007 but came out of hiatus in January of 2013. Later that year they went on to win the prestigious "Got to be NC" Bluegrass Band competition. Diamond Creek released their first CD "Where Do I Go From Here" on New Time Records in the fall of 2015.
