Jimmie Fails dreams of reclaiming the Victorian home his grandfather built in the heart of San Francisco. Joined on his quest by his best friend Mont, Jimmie searches for belonging in a rapidly changing city that seems to have left them behind. As he struggles to reconnect with his family and reconstruct the community he longs for, his hopes blind him to the reality of his situation.
A wistful odyssey populated by skaters, squatters, street preachers, playwrights, and other locals on the margins, The Last Black Man in San Francisco is a poignant and sweeping story of hometowns and how they’re made-and kept alive-by the people who love them.
Will call tickets may be picked up at The Cary Box Office beginning one hour prior to the movie.
For assistance with accessible seating requests at The Cary Theater after 3pm on Friday and throughout the weekend, please contact the general box office at 919-462-2055, and/or reach out to the House Manager beginning one hour prior to the performance.

MIKE WALLACE IS HERE offers an unflinching look at the legendary reporter, who interrogated the 20th century’s biggest figures in his over fifty years on air, and his aggressive reporting style and showmanship that redefined what America came to expect from broadcasters. Unearthing decades of never-before-seen footage from the 60 Minutes vault, the film explores what drove and plagued Wallace, whose storied career was entwined with the evolution of journalism itself.

One voice. One guitar. Over 2,000 shows and counting. Nine states. Two countries. Over 200,000 miles on the road. Thousands of satisfied listeners. Smooth vocals. Lyrics that come from a heart that shares the exact same memories as yours. Melodies that create instant nostalgia.  Bill West takes great pride in the art of song-crafting. If you enjoy the sounds of Sting, The Samples, Bruce Hornsby, Seal, Coldplay, Jackson Browne, and U2, then you will understand and enjoy his latest CD, “Thanks For Listening.”
    Jason Adamo
    jasonadamo.com
An interesting thing happens when a tight five-piece band of respectively talented musicians ditches gimmicks and masks: Honest, unpretentious, full-bodied music is born.
The Jason Adamo Band started with the man himself, a truly soulful singer with inspired lyrics and raspy falsetto.  Currently residing in Raleigh, Adamo has lived in New York City and Nashville, immersing himself in each city’s music and songwriting scene.  Jason recently received his first cut on a Major Label (“Beautiful Believer”), on Brett Young’s Big Machine Label Group debut LP “Brett Young.”  His version of “Beautiful Believer” has been released on an EP as part of a collection of songs written during his time spent living in Nashville (2013-2015).  Adamo has a Joe Cocker-like “bold grit and heart,” and an ability to take a captive audience from “engaged silence” to a “floor-stomping, rollicking, good time.”
With the addition of Doug Casteen (lead guitar), Alex McKee (bass), Fabio Consani (harmonica, acoustic guitar), and David Littlejohn (keyboard), who all bring years of unique experiences and influences, The Jason Adamo Band (JAB) creates a brotherly vibe and puts a new spin on Adamo’s classic soul.
