Five filmmakers share their most insane stories about filmmaking.

    Panelists:

Misty Dawn – Misty Dawn, born and raised in the Midwest, is a former student of the University of Iowa. She had plans to earn degrees in English and Journalism, before turning her focus to Film Studies in 2013 after attending her first Horror Convention. Being a lifelong horror fan she had spent most of her spare time watching horror movies and learning everything she could from special features and commentaries. Based on all that she learned from films and gracious filmmakers throughout the years, she decided to try her hand at her own short film. Hooker Assassin (2016) is the first short film that Misty directed, wrote and produced. She is currently developing a few story ideas into scripts and intends to keep telling stories about real people in extraordinary situations.

Brittany Brock - Brittany received her BFA in Producing from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts School of Filmmaking. She has written and produced several short films - most notably THE REINCARNATION OF MRS. BARABE and ALL THEY KNEW. Brittany's directorial debut LITTLE will be screening during the SCFFF.

Lindsay Serrano - Co-Owner of Mass Grave Pictures, Lindsay has been a producer in the NY/NJ Indie Horror scene since 2008. Working with a number of Indie film crews as AD and/or Producer, she has worked on feature films Theta States, Blood Slaughter Massacre and Good Day, the TV series' Zombie Hunters City Of The Dead, The Attack Of The Brain People, and The SPIES Files, as well as over two dozen short films. Beneath is Lindsays first film as writer & director, it screens at the SCFFF this year.

James Pravasilis - James was born and raised in NYC ( Brooklyn) and has been in the arts his whole life. He has been a professional musician most of his life and found his love of acting 12 years ago. He has appeared on Network shows as Person Of interest, Billions and a slew of Docudramas. Constantly performing in Indie film he decided it was time to write produce and star in his own. The Prime is now in 17 festivals and counting and has been nominated for 2 best short awards and won 2 best short awards. He is thrilled to join the Panel for The Sick Chick Flicks film festival.

Melissa De Leon - Melissa is a freelance filmmaker based in the East Coast who produced 12 projects so far, several which have won awards, including Best Actress in a Narrative Short from WideScreen Film & Music Video Festival. Additionally, Melissa has been a production assistant on over 70 productions including Marvel's The Defenders, Jessica Jones Season 2, and American Ninja Warrior. She is currently submitting her short film paralysis to festivals, is currently working on a post apocalyptic screenplay, and recently worked with Telemundo on La Voz in the casting department. Her film Paralysis is screening at this year's SCFFF.
